Summer Note
We have a lot going on as Summer approaches, don’t miss out! Here is what you can look forward to:
SEND Sunday Update
We have a goal of 1 million dollars above and beyond general giving for 2020 to go towards our VISION of SEND and I am excited to report that as we step into the Summer months, we are currently at 430k! So almost half way there! Thank you again for your generosity for Kingdom Movement!
Also due to the covid-19 delays, our move-in date has been pushed back. It is a bummer, but one upside is that our Loan Amortization date has also been pushed back to August 1. This saves us some money, and the more we pay that down on the loan, the more our missional giving goes up!!
Saturate the Sanctuary with Scripture
The building is getting CLOSE and we hope to move in and have services in the next few weeks! But before we do, we want to cover the walls and saturate them in scripture, just like we saw and experience in Ezra during our past teaching series. This will not be just one person reading the text but all of us as a family, taking a shift and reading from Genesis to Revelation over the walls before our 1st service in there. Would you consider signing up for a shift? As you come on campus we will have directions and a “Vintage Grace, large font, Bible” where you will simply pick up from where the previous person left off and then initial where you stop so the next person knows where to pick up and keep going. Love the fact that our vision is about TEXT and COMMUNITY and this is a beautiful picture of BOTH working together. That starts on June 15, so this is the week to be signing up for that! Donuts with Dudes
June 21 is Fathers day, and we will be hosting a Donuts with Dudes wall (and yes they will be specially packaged: no touch), where any of you men out there can grab a special snack! This will be the first time we’ve had a special snack on campus, so that will be a special treat - PUN intended - and this is for ALL dudes (not just dad’s), as a way to remind each of us that we have a shared role in our Communitas in spiritually shepherding the people around us.
Lunch on the Lawn
July 26 is “Lunch on the Lawn.” Join us for service on Sunday and bring your own lunch for after service where we will be meeting on the lawn! Church will be providing the Fun and Dessert.
Battleship Month
This August, we will be hosting “Battleship Month.” We will still be in the book of James, but we will be spending time not just getting to know the new physical battleship we are in (the new building), but the vision God has given us as a Church to be the Living Proof. August 2 will kick off the launch of this year’s Missional Grants, so please be praying now for what God is inviting you into this Fall, and how not only you might pray-watch and step. We believe as a Church that you can do it and we can help!
