Little League On Campus

As on one of our missions at Vintage Grace, we want to utilize the space on our campus to impact our community. One of those ways include hosting El Dorado Hills Little League functions like registrations. Recently, we had the opportunity to host a Little League function on our campus and our Groups Director, Michael Hudson, has been heavily involved.

Here is a quick interview with Michael Hudson about his role with Little League using our space!

What role did you play in the Little League sign ups using space on campus?

The role I played in little league signs ups using our space was really from initial interest in using our space and working with Tracy, my contact for EDH Little League, all the way to helping welcome and direct parking as people navigated the craziness of the parking lot.

What did you enjoy about this experience?

I enjoyed the opportunity to really host and be for our little league community by supporting them as they provide an outlet for kids in our town to play sports, and build community. Week in and week out they are constantly the unsung heroes so being able to help make their organization shine was really a cool opportunity :)

What impact have you seen in our community?

The impact I saw was pretty awesome. Whether it was the relief on a parents face of not knowing where to go and helping navigate them in the right direction, or the smile as a kid got hot cocoa as they waited in the long line for their parents to sign them up, all around it was powerful to see the impact hosting can have on those who came onto our campus. Another huge win for me was seeing our Life Group rally together and find joy in serving our community. It was such an awesome opportunity to simply serve those already using our space.
