838 Coffee

This Christmas season, we are selling coffee on Sundays! Not only is this East African Roast Roast delicious, it also plays a direct role in benefiting families in the Paginyira Refugee Camp. We will sell 838 Coffee all of December and we would love for you to try it the next time you are at church!

8.38 comes from a conversation we had with a pastor, Santos, in the Paginyira Refugee Camp (from South Sudan Civil War). Santos told us he gets 31,000 Ugandan Shillings from the UN per month to feed his family. That converts to $8.38.

In efforts to help provide support to the families, proceeds from 8.38 coffee will go towards food for Child Headed Households (CHH). These households consist of children who arrived at camp having lost their parents in the war.

Above are some pictures of Child Headed Households in the Paginyira Refugee Camp. The pictures include twin girls (age 13) and a boy (age 6) who live in a small hut and are supervised by church members.

In this very tragic time, we invite you to participate in the ways Vintage Grace is supporting 838 Coffee. Feel free to purchase coffee from our connect tent the next time you are at Vintage Grace. Let’s take this opportunity to help support the ministries in Uganda that seek to be the living proof in their location, and are helping those that suffered tremendous loss from the South Sudan Civil War.

Below are pictures of Pastor Santos and his wife, as well as a group photo of a few of the children that we supporting with 838 Coffee!

Sincerely,
The Vintage Grace Outreach Team
